I am a 5 foot 9 163 pound athletic freshman. I am solid and not fat or slow. I am thinking about playing football since a lot of people say I have the right body for the game. However, I have only played football in the backyard and I am not sure if I could play at the JV level. I am only planning on playing linebacker or safety. If I start to play I want to possible be able to earn a division 3 or better scholarship.

study as much as you can about defensive and offensive formations and packages…learn every position and what their jobs are…learn offensive blocking schemes, learn the names of each gap and each section of the field… purchase Madden (the video game) for basic knowledge and buy as many books and watch as much game film as you can…. athleticism and talent are easy for coaches to find but a well prepared and well studied player will go further…and most of all you have to love the game itself…there’s guys who play football and then there are football players…know the difference. jizzlecj

In about 2 minutes. It’s EASY. Everyone has a specific job to do and all of these individual jobs mesh together in an offense or a defense. Footballher10
