    the best way to improve is by practising…this can be difficult on your own so its best if u could join a local club or even a soccer school….your local football association should have details on their w/site for the above and if you have to practice kick ups on your own then first, try allowing the ball to bounce between each touch, do this maybe 20-50 times then try again without allowing the ball to bounce….remember gentle, light touches are better & regular practice will make u better.
