How can I remove a name from the back of a football jersey?

B asked:

I have a football jersey with a player no longer on the team. It is a replica jersey so I can pull off the rectangular piece of cloth that the name is on, but there’s a nasty looking dried up adhesive under it. How do I get that adhesive off? I’d hate to not be able to use this jersey anymore, it was $70! Any suggestions?

Just keep it on. It still shows you support the team. I wear my Canucks Bertuzzi jersey all the time. That’s why whenever you buy a jersey to support your team, but a classic. alwaysmoose

If it says Leftwhich cover up the which part of the name with duct tape and write town on there. Then it will say LEFT TOWN. Get it? Leftwhich was the former QB For the NFL Jags. papercutfaint

Goo B Gone, OOPs, Simple Green (automotive department but don’t use on white fabric), or Castrol Purple Degreaser in the automotive department will work as well. MJ
