    Well the british started singing their christmas songs and the germans started singing theirs and then they started singing songs back and forth to each other and joining in in their own languages then some very brave or very foolish soldiers came out of their trenches with gifts for their german enemy’s and then just a chain reaction occurd and the football you have to remember this was a german base where soldiers had been sitting around for months before the british were anywhere near so they may have had a football to pass the time but thats just my opinion your guess is as good as mine Tiocfaidh ár lá

    and even had a football match between the trenchs being
