How do football teams earn money for their school?

Like for those college football teams, how do they earn money? I know people pay money for the tickets, but whom does the money go to? The team that wins?

    No. The Home team keeps the money.

    Its their home stadium, Thats how they make money for there school, plus Advertisements. Jermaine

    All ticket sales and also clothing. Boosters as well. Some college teams are worth more than NFL teams. Some schools avg 110,000 a game in attendance. Skinsfan4life21

    Well, there is that new invention they call television. If a college team is in a conference that gets televised often. The entire conference of schools share the revenue. For say Notre Dame who is not in a conference, I guess they keep the T.V. revenue, and are responsible for doling it out equally among all departments within the school. JimG

    They have allot of sponsors that pay them money…. also the food they sell and the boasters raise money and get money from people who played there in the past…… yo69
