I am a Freshmen and I am attending a great school that demands great academics from each student. I also play Freshmen Football, and I am a second-string Nose Guard/Tackle. I am doing fine in most subjects, but I want to get better, while still improve in football. Any help?

Academics: read a lot. Do your homework. Study. Read your textbooks between classes. Stay after and ask the teacher questions. Stay positive about school and keep your goals (college, job, whatever) in mind. Avoid girls until you have a car and disposable income.

Football: lift weights. Play other sports in the off-season. Go jogging a couple of times a week in the off-season. Watch college and pro football games, with the sound off, and pay attention to your position. Eat your veggies. Do not EVER eat fast food before a game.

In general: Don’t do drugs or drink alcohol (they’re illegal and unhealthy). Don’t watch much TV. Do have a hobby or some sort of interest outside of football and school. Have a good time (but don’t be stupid). ferretsclaw74
