How do i tell which plaays are running plays and passing plays in football?
hi i just started playing football and this is my second week of practicing. i am a linemen and in the huddles i always get confused on which plays are running plays and which plays are passing plays.When i get confused at practice/during scrimmages most of the time i look retarded doing the wrong block. can anyone give me tips or advice?

i am guessing that your plays have a “system” such as if there is an even number in the call you block one way or an odd, the other. if you are still confused and cant figure out the system, dont be afraid to ask the coach to have him help you. i can almost guarantee he will be happy to help. even if he isnt, im sure he would rather you understand the plays then keep making the same mistakes. you have to study the play book. I’m sure plays that start with a certain number or code indicate certain plays. football is not an easy sport…it is mentally and phsically draining. you’ll have to put in time for both matt
