I would go ask your potential coach. Most people online are going to have no clue what it will actually take. And by talking to the potential coach he will get to know you and may keep an eye out for you in the tryouts. And mattering on what level you are playing at a little extra attention during a tryout can mean the difference between making the team or getting cut. As for building endurance nothing does it better than running. It is also best to include a basic workout routine to do along with running. This will increase your overall body conditioning which will turn around and aid your running and overall endurance. And if your workout and running distances/times aren’t hard to achieve then it won’t do the job. Hard work = real results. There are no shortcuts. RhymingDemon

Dribbling a tennis ball helps improve hand and eye coordination and reflexes and running up large hills and stairways will help increase your stamina, also get some strap-on weights for your legs and arms and you could also wear a back pack high on your shoulders with 20-50 pounds of weight in it. thecrouchingtiger
