You can find them at bigger grocery stores like HEB that have an asian section (I don't recommend actually stealing them from the sushi counter ... :-))Simple white glue in a H-Shape will work well. Poster paint after it's dry to make it white. Stick it up right in modeling clay. It won't be like the nice modern "U" on the arched column, but it would be simple.
