Sir RoffleZ asked:

A few months ago I lacerated my spleen during football practice after i got rocked by three players at the same time.

When I got to the hospital, the doctors kept telling me how unlikely it was to get a grade two laceration in football because of its location in the rib cage. I was just wondering if there are any others out there on Yahoo answers that also tore their spleen.

  1. Mr. Right says:

Two NFL players in recent years have injured their spleens. Chris Simms being the most famous one. I believe he did lacerate it and was out of football for a good year. Al Harris of the Packers injured his this season and miss about half the year. They talked about Harris’ injury that it is fairly rare to injure or lacerate a spleen. You pretty much have to take a solid shot at the right angle and spot. Mr. Right
