me asked:

I wanted to know about how long a high school football game lasts from start to finish. I’ve heard there’s a difference between canadian and american high school football so if there is, I mean American.

About an hour and a half, maybe a little more. Each quarter is fifteen minutes long, so that means an hour, and high school football has WAY less breaks and interupptions then a NFL match-up. Kiko

About 2:15 to 2:30. The quarters are 12 minutes and half-time is usually 15, but can be anywhere from 10 to 20.

You can generally figure that 1 minute of “football time” is about 3 minutes of “real time.”

Then again, I had a game that went three hours last night with no overtime. Yikes! Rob B

About 2:30 to 3 hours long. You have to add additional time for each teams time outs per quarter, allow time outs for injuries. And the amount of time between plays as the refs are resetting the ball or replacing the ball due to penalties. All in all average is approx 3 hours.
There are games that I have been at that, where if the teams agree, that the clocks time runs continiously never stopping. Anger Management #58

About 3 hours. I’m a cheerleader so I go to games every week. Usually, a quarter is 12 minutes, but with all the calls and when you factor in people getting hurt, one quarter might be 20 minutes or longer. Then halftime is about 20 minutes. xxcutielou
