    USA also calls it soccer.. and thats about it.. most countries especially in Latin America and Europe call it Football / Futbol Jon

    Australia too. And, perhaps South Africa? Don’t they have their own brand of ‘football’? So probably about 3-4 countries that call the game soccer. bbymoore1

    Despite suggestions to the contrary, football is also sometimes called soccer in England…it is originally an English derived word anyhow. Arcadia

    canada, america and sometimes australia. depends who you talk to really, but from my experience its more often called football in australia tyler

    No where else except in North America do they call my beloved sport soccer. Probably picked on and cloned the most popular sport in the world and we want our name back. Its ridiculous them calling grid iron football when all they do with their feet is run, jump and stomp. No craft involved whatsoever. If you really use your feet then your thighs not your biceps ought to bulge and you need shin pads not helmets for heavens sake. didi

    i mean of course american football is stupid but SOCCER is wat i grew up with so get over it, its not some freaking blasphemy to call it a different name. its still teh same amazingly awesome sport. so who gives a crud wat i call it? rebel.writer
