How should I prepare to play high school football for the first time?
I’m a sophmore in high school and I want to join football next year. Problem is that i’m not very strong or fast and i don’t have a lot of stamina. I’m 6′2 and weigh 193lb. What kind of exercises should I do to prepare myself and what position could I play?

excesise a lot and get you self in good shape slick
You Are built like a Offensive Tackle or a Defensive end, like me. I’m a sophmore, 6″2 185lbs, But I’v been playing for a couple of years. I’v trained with all-state players, Weight lift 6 days a week, and i study our play book 1-3 time a week. Linemen Usually do Leg exersies like Squat, Deadlift, Box Squats because they are trained to push objects, and pushing is easyier if your legs are strong and explosive. That is why i’v been able to pancake player that weigh 100-200lbs heavier. they also do arm exersises especially for D-linemen so they can do arm-under/arm-over to contain the QB or get the sack. do sprints, they help you explode off the line and get in someones face. As a D-linemen speed, pad level(how high are you coming off the line of scrimmage), and tackling. How long you can run is optional, but is a good idea to try to improve in that field. Also remember football is 90% mental, 10% physical. Study-Your-Playbook. if there is one thing football players hate, is other players that don’t know what is going on. Hayden
For ANY position in football, your going to want stamina and muscle. I would suggest that you start lifting to gain muscle mass, eat and drink healthier, and start running. Even if you play O-Line, which in all probability you will, you’ll still need stamina, even though linemen hardly run. Running increases stamina, Diets and Weights increase muscle.
Just remind yourself, MOTIVATION IS THE KEY!
Good luck,
See you in the NFL. BlackFire227
