How to I treat this bizarre football injury?

Whenever I throw a football for any real length of time, I get terrible pains behind my elbow and the more I push it, the more it spreads through out my arm (I have actually made my whole arm numb for a couple minutes one afternoon because I kept throwing). I don’t have a particular wacky throwing motion. It’s sort of side arm, but nothing crazy and I throw tight spirals with good distance. What is wrong and what do I do?

    Go see a doctor.
Try stretching your arm before and after throwing.

Sounds like something is “out of place” on your shouder or elbow, and that could be compressing a nerve. Stop all physical activity and go see a doctor at once. If you push it bad enough you can end up snapping the nerve and having a limp arm.
