I’m about 130 pounds, 5′6, and have been a fan of football all my life. I did not play football my freshman year but i did play some football in 8 grade. I’m thinking of trying out for wide reciever. I have decent hands and run about a 5.2 40. Should I try out?

    Why not??
No one has ever succeeded or failed if they haven’t tried.
Even if you’re not accepted on the team, at least you went to try-outs. You don’t want to look back 5 years from now and say “I should’ve tried out, but didn’t.”

get busy livin or get busy dying. It never hurts to try it and football is a kickass sport. Although football guys can be pricks to new guys that havent been playing with them their whole lives. but fuck them and do whats best for you. dont quit the team no matter what either quit after the season is over if anything

If you want to then try it out. Just make sure that later in life you won’t regret not taking football.

you can try out if you want to, i have played football since 8th grade and im now a senior and i love it. but i don’t think you would be a receiver though, most receivers run under a 5 second 40 and are a little taller, you could be a good end or even a linebacker if you are strong enough, good luck dude

Absolutely. Don’t go in with high expectations, just enjoy the experience.
