As a Virginia taxpayer, I want to know if my taxes are paying for this high level football at public universities. I am wondering if maybe the big, successful schools make money on football, but what about the small schools that do not attract as many spectators and probably not many TV contracts or payments. Also, do the big superpower football and basketball colleges share the wealth with other schools? In summary, are the taxpayers paying for all this entertainment?

I’ll be going back to Iraq for about 6 months and just my luck college football season is just around the corner. What is the best way (internet, satellite TV, etc) for me to catch the games while over there. I’ll have a laptop and internet access and I’ll probably just need the basics, ABC, NBC, ESPN, Big Ten Network if possible. I need to keep up with my Ohio State Buckeyes so any suggestions would be appreciated.
