I really want to play some football sophmore year, and i dont know if i should tryout or not. All the kids that are experienced will say that i can not play football and should forget about it. They say that can’t see me playing. Im sure if i bulked up i could play running back. Currently i am 5′8 and i weigh 142 pounds. My 40 yard dash is around 4.40 and i have some good leg muscle because i play soccer.

How to run an offline fantasy football draft?

I am running an offline fantasy football draft for the first year with some family and friends. After the draft I am going to enter the results on yahoo. I’m not asking if I should do it at a bar or if I should have activities or anything. I’m just wondering how I should keep track of who has been drafted and how I should let everyone know who is available. Like, should I have a cheatsheet and just cross people off?

Leave any extra details you may think will be helpful.

Thanks

I just started riding my bike because i need to get in shape for football. I tried running but im lazy and hate it. Say if I ran a mile, would riding a bike 4 miles be the same? Is it a good idea to ride a bike instead of running?

I used to play running back in for my football team. I injured my ankle and then got replaced. What are some good ways or drills to improve in that spot and get back as the starter? And I play safety most so how can I improve there?

How many running plays should be called in flag football per age group?

Bruce Tzu asked:

I have two kids in flag football. 8 men teams blocking and rushing as many as you like.

One age group 6-7. They throw almost every play and never complete a pass. I don’t understand what the coach is thinking. They never run the ball.

One kid is in 8-9 age group. Maybe 60% are pass plays.

I’m thinking since their is blocking alot of plays should be running especially in 6-7 age group.

How many running plays would you call as a percent if you were coaching these age groups?

I just play football for fun with my cousins who are my closest friends within my family. When I’m running a route as a wide receiver, I like to run 10 or 15 yard hook routes. I also like to start off running hard and then slowing down and then blowing past the defensive back by accelerating again.
