What are the bands some football players wear around their arms at the elbow?
What is the purpose of the rubber-band looking things that some football players wear around their arms near the elbow? Is that to improve circulation or something? Please let me know, thanks.
A sometimes football watcher.

its a support band for tennis elbow
I’m pretty sure it means that player does NOT have a green dot on his helmet.
it can be a brace for tennis elbow or other ailment, to help keep sweat from their hands, to save their skin from scrapes from the turf etc
Sometimes its something wore on the arm where the plays are kept . Middle linebackers usually have to get the signal from the sidelines and look at what the play is and call it.
