What do you think of high school football coaches?

I always looked up to my football coaches and they really had a big impact on my life. Now, I think I want to be a coach. What do you think of someone when they tell you they are a football coach? I know they are probably more respected in the south. Luckily, I’m an Okie!

lucky for you i like football. and thanks for answering my question…when i hear someone is a high school football coach i think it’s cool. keep in mind i am a 19 year old male who is a big football fan. idk how much money they make, but go for it if you love it! Clyde
i love football so when i read this this is what popped into my head: go for it because football coaches to me are hard nosed workers who expect greatness out of their players. go for it dude, much respect for you. rahul
if your a cool coach then ya. i had a coach that smiled alot and i liked him i had a coach that yelled a lot and i cussed him out so try to smile more than you yell and you should be fine Applewhite

Be what you wanna be. I;m from Bama. We love our football coaches. ha. If yours what that big of a role model to you and you wanna be that for someone else then go for it. When someone tells me they are a coah I’m like heck yeah new friend. lol. tootiefrootie1128

I think if you are truly a good coach and positive towards the kids then you will be highly looked up to. I think coaches are well respected…until they lose their respect that is. But yeah I think it’s pretty cool you look up to them and want to follow in their footsteps to be a good influence for other kids : ) em
The one at ny school is awesome and hilarious so i like them. If that’s what you want to do and it’ll make you happy then go for it!
