I would say shuttle running will really help for bursts of speed. Also do long distance running to help with stamina. P G

Look into extreme Plyometrics routines, like the plyometrics on p90x…..Plyometrics is jumptraining, but covers quickness, leg strength, flexability and agility also. It will help you better control your burst of speeds, quick direction changes and jumping for those high passes when running routes. This will really help your speed endurance and agility…..Also do some core work, meaning upper legs and abs. Trust me I played football all through highschool and college as a quarterback and all my recievers did plyo and got better and better.

Actually i would recommend looking into the whole p90x workout, I wrestled and played football for a long time, but nothing put me into shape like p90x, its a great all around routine 7 days a week about an hour a day…..Not trying to sell you or anything, but it is the best workout ive ever done, and it is really hardcore….it comes with a plyometrics routine you have to do once a week along with legs back arms shoulders etc…….Highly recommend for speed, agility and strength. It will seriously Kick your ass, and 90 days later if you follow the diet and workouts, you will a completley different athlete. If your not playing until next year you can do 2 or 3 rounds of p90x and will be alot faster, strong and have a lot more endurance……You sound young, but the p90x program is only like $120 bucks. Look into it bro, you wont regret using it. And youll thank me when it kicks your ass the first couple weeks and you realize your not in as good a shape as you thought.

    P90x routine
Day 1…..Chest and Back, Ab ripper x
    Day 2…..Plyometrics
Day 3 ….Shoulders, Bicep, Tricep, Ab ripper x
    Day 4…..Yoga X
Day 5……Legs and Back, ab ripper x
    Day 6……Kenpo X
    Day 7……X stretch or Rest.

Then it switch it the routines every month to make sure you never plateau, and are always increasing strength, speed, agility and endurance.

Also here is the plyometrics workout im talking about…. SonOfTroy4
