What is difference among soccer rugby and football?

I think played with only foot is football and played with hand and foot both is rugby !! Please help me to understand them, Then what is soccer ?.
I am talking about American and European football as well. I just keep watching on TV and not getting anything out of it.

    there is american football then association football aka soccer and rugby. 3 different games.

    Association football you are not permitted to use your hand unless you are the designated goalkeeper.

    american football is played mainly with the hands and each “play” only lasts a few seconds

    Rugby is also played mainly with the hands but is a much faster harder game there are no plays the game does not stop when the ball hits the ground. chrispen1
