What is the better fantasy football strategy?
I know this may be a little premature, but I was wondering what the better drafting strategy for fantasy football is. Should I go QB or RB first?

Neither, just pick Patriots. Can’t go wrong with Tom Brady, who is now healthy. Buck Fush
Draft a winning team! Seriously, depends on what stats your league uses. barry t
many go with running back which is were i would go b/c your going to gt a matt cassel in the 2nd round so ya c b
It depends on your league but general rule is to go RB first because in most leagues they get the most points. Unless you have a huge 2 QB league, you can snag a good QB easily in later rounds. Heck, Kurt Warner was undrafted in my league and he had some nice numbers last year. pallidorus
I’d take the best available 2 RBs + 1 QB in the 1st 3 rounds..
Who’s available will vary due to league sizes, scoring, opponents’ preferences, and your draft position..COMPLETE your starting team before taking back ups.(In other words; don’t take 3 RBs in the 1st 3 rounds if you can only start 2 RBs.)The acception would be if you are planning on trading/packaging 1 of them for a better player.
ALSO; research, and have some SLEEPERS targeted in the later rounds. And have cheat sheets broken down into rounds, and have players circled in each round you like..(You can pretty much know what your team will look like BEFORE you actually draft.)

A lot depends on where you end up picking in your draft and who is available when you pick. In a typical snake draft I watch for trends if I am pickeing near the middle, if I am picking early then I target the best 2 RBs available and if I am picking very late in the first round I might be inclined to draft RB in the first then jumping on a guy like Brees or Brady with my second pick. I know it will be a long time before the draft comes back to me if I am picking late and the odds that the QB run dries up before I get a shot later isnt worth risking. Draft strategy depends on so many factors like drft position and positional runs that you need to identify guys you want and make sure you draft for value. Dont grab a guy you really like early because the guys who stay within the value range are almost always the guys who are there at the end….once you draft one guy too early that sets your whole team back because you can never replace that value. And like an earlier post said, identify potential breakout players and grab them in the later rounds but do this on the premise of drafting where you feel you might be a little weak. viphockey4
I like 2 strong backs, and I look for a QB / Rec combo as a chance to double up on some points. trip
