When was the Scottish football points system changed to 3 points for a win?

Im sure that in football in Scotland you used to only get 2 points for a win, not 3.
Can someone please tell me when they changed it to 3 points for a win, with a source if you can, as it is to settle a bet.

    It was first used in England in 1981 but it took untill 1994 for the jocks to adopt it, after it was used in that years world cup. 1st Earl Jellicoe
