Why is football not the most watched sport, but a uncool, boring, unwatchable sport like soccer is instead the most watched sport in the world? Football should be #1.

    The rest of the world doesn’t give a shit about football , at least the US type. Otherwise we’d have talent from other countries , and a US Football World Cup , but I don’t see that happening.

    Simply because soccer has been around from the stone ages ya know…it doesn’t take much to play soccer all you need is a ball and 2 boundaries for the goals

    I agree that football is the best sport in the world but it’s only been around since the late 1800s but give a few hundred years and it probably will be the most popular sport. big matt

    Look at participation on a global scale.

    Gridiron (or American football as it’s known outside your borders) has microscopic participation outside of the US.

    Plus, equipment costs are prohibitive.

    American football matches on tv are all-day affairs with very little action (there are only 12-15 minutes of “live play” during a game of 60 minutes of clock time). Leafsfan29
